All Procelain Crowns

At Elite Dental Arts, crowns are a very versatile restorative, thanks in part to the variety of materials that can be used to create them. One of the most cosmetically pleasing and visually accommodating crown options is the all porcelain crown.
All porcelain crowns are the best choice for a tooth in an especially visible portion of the mouth. These crowns can be matched to virtually any natural tooth shade and appear as smooth and sleek as a genuine tooth. Due to its slightly translucent nature, porcelain reflects light as natural tooth enamel would - thereby creating a genuine sheen. All porcelain crowns are resistant to staining and are favorable for patients who have metal allergies or concerns regarding the effects of mental alloys on one’s overall health.
Like those made from other materials and composites, all porcelain crowns will require some modification to the structure of the existing tooth, but the end result is a beautiful, discreet and reliable restorative that’s virtually indistinguishable from the rest of your natural smile.
If you are in need of a crown for restorative or cosmetic dental needs, please contact us at the following link Elite Dental Arts to learn more about the all porcelain crowns we provide.  Call our office today at (212) 681-0939 to arrange your smile makeover consultation or you may conveniently schedule online.  Please share your thoughts and comments below.

NYU College of Dentistry Botox and Facial Pain Study

Many patients at Elite Dental Arts have already experienced the benefits of Botox for Dentistry firsthand by the work of Dr Nick M Mobilia.  A considerable number of patients have found relief from facial pain, teeth grinding (bruxism), joint and muscle discomfort, and subsequent headaches and migraines.  Now, Elite Dental Arts is pleased to announce Dr Mobilia’s involvement as a major contributor in the NYU College of Dentistry study on Botox and Facial Pain/TMJ because of his expertise and experience in this field.  Injecting patients in his practice and teaching with Dentox for the last 10 years has enabled him to redefine the protocol for the dental therapeutic applications of Botox.  He is also one of the most experienced dentist and injector in this field.
The study will focus on the impact of Botox injections on facial pain (TMJ), specifically in female patients.  NYU College of Dentistry is still seeing qualified participants, who will be compensated for their participation.  Web survey participants are also needed. Please click on the following link from TMJ Association to find out more about the study.   Our office will be sharing more information as the study progresses.
